All contests that makeup The Heads Up Bracket Challenge ("Challenge") are subject to DraftZone's
Official Rules and
Terms and Conditions. Additionally, the Challenge will also be administered according to the following policies:
- The Challenge will consist of 8 or 64 entries. Matchups will be assigned once a Challenge league fills up, up until Wednesday. If a Challenge fills up after Wednesday, the Challenge will be scheduled for the following week.
- An individual may submit up to, but no more than 4 entries in the 64 and up to 2 entries in the 8 team Challenges. Individuals with more than one entry will have each entry placed in a separate bracket region for the 64 team brackets, and in separate first round drafts in the 8 team brackets.
- The 64 team Challenge will include 4 separate bracket regions, each of which will be composed of 16 entries. Entries will randomly be assigned a position within each bracket region subject to the exception that an individual with more than one entry will not have two entries placed in the same bracket region.
- Entries will be paired against one another in each bracket region and will compete in a heads-up format with the winner advancing to the next round and the loser being eliminated from the Challenge. This process will be repeated until there is a winner.
- In the 64 team Challenge, the winner from each of the bracket regions will enter the semifinals of the Challenge and will compete against another semi-finalist. The winners of the semi-finals will then compete for the Championship while the losers of the semi-finals will compete for the 3rd and 4th place awards.
- Awards will be distributed at the end of the Heads Up Bracket Challenge according to the following chart:

- Each week of the Challenge, Drafts will be held on Wednesday or Thursday evenings from 8pm EST to 10pm EST. Each bracket region will begin drafting 15 minutes apart to allow time for multiple entants to complete each draft. DraftZone cannot grant special draft time requests, users are required to draft at the assigned date and time. If a participant is not present or does not have an active internet connection at his or her draft's scheduled start time, they will be Auto-drafted according to the same policies that govern DraftZone's other contests. For more information, please Click Here.
- Each week of the Challenge, Salary leagues will sign-on to DraftZone at a time of their convenience, but prior to the Transaction Deadlines, and select a team that does not exceed the defined salary cap and meets the specifications set forth in League/Team Configuration.
Standard Decimal Scoring System
All leagues use the same standard scoring system for the respective sport, outlined below. A team will receive points based on stats from the games played. If two teams have the same number of points, then Tiebreakers will determine the winner.
Scoring is calculated based on a decimal scoring system, up to the hundredth percentile. Anything beyond the hundredth percentile is rounded down. Example: a QB passes for 237 yards, a QB receives 1 point per 25 yards, and so the resulting points scored will be 9.48.
Only players in your starting lineup will count toward your point total. You do not receive any points from players on your bench.

Example: If Devin Hester returns a kickoff for a touchdown, Chicago will receive 6 points for a special team's touchdown and Devin Hester also receives 6 points.
NFL FG Return for TD
A field goal attempt returned for a TD will be officially scored as a DEF/Special Teams TD.
